Five years ago, I stood in the kitchen of Dalvee with my husband Krishna, my heart pounding louder than the pots and pans around me. I was nervous. Hopeful. Teetering between excitement and fear.
I didn’t know what the future held — only that I wanted to create a space where food could tell stories, heal hearts, and bring people together around tables filled with warmth and flavour.
Today, as the familiar aroma of garam masala drifts through our restaurant once again, I pause and reflect: Dalvee is turning FIVE. And my heart is overflowing.

It’s been five years of challenges and triumphs. Of learning, growing, adapting. From opening just before a lockdown, to rebuilding with courage and love — every step of this journey has been deeply personal.
But we didn’t do it alone.
